Dunlop introduces new Sportmax GP-A |
|
Buffalo, NY: Dunlop Motorcycle Tires is proud to announce the release of the latest-generation Supersport race tire, the Sportmax GP-A. Developed and manufactured in the USA to specifically meet the needs of AMA professional road racers. Dunlop is the Official Tire of AMA Pro Road Racing and the Sportmax GP-A is the Official Tire for the Daytona SportBike, SuperSport and Moto-GT classes. The very same Sportmax GP-A used by the pros in these classes is also available to the riding public. It’s the ideal choice for sportbike riders who race at the local level or participate in track days.
Developed at Dunlop’s Huntsville, Alabama, Proving Grounds, proven at race circuits across the country and manufactured in Buffalo, New York, the Sportmax GP-A provides unparalleled grip, excellent drive out of corners and superior on-track handling. The rear GP-A features Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread compound construction, which incorporates a tough, cooler-running center compound for straight-line stability and great traction, plus a special lateral-grip compound on each shoulder for superior cornering traction. In addition, rear tires feature Jointless Band (JLB) construction to reduce tire growth for cooler running and enhanced grip, and they are available in soft/medium and medium/hard compound combinations to let the rider match tire performance to track and weather conditions. The Dunlop Sportmax GP-A is available in 120/70ZR17 front and 190/55ZR17 rear size.
